ABOUT

AUTHOR

Jeanette Corso is from Queens, NY, and is currently living in Rochester, NY. This is her first children's book, and she is already working on Caper’s second adventure. She aspires to make sure that all kids, and adults alike, know they can make the world a better place just by being themselves, and embracing who they truly are. She hopes you enjoy meeting Caper just as much as she enjoyed creating her.

She moved to North Bellmore, Long Island when she was 13, and graduated from Wellington C. Mepham High School. Her undergraduate double degrees are from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She received a Bachelor's in both American Sign Language-English Interpreting, as well as Human Services. In 2021 she graduated with a Master's degree in Human Development from the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester.

Meet Caper, a duck afraid of being different; and listen to how her story transforms from a fear of non-acceptance to one of true self-discovery. Once her secret was revealed Caper decided she no longer wanted to hide, so she embarked on a journey of self-acceptance. As she ventured she stumbled upon a beautiful garden and met wonderful ducks who were as unique as the splendid flowers that surrounded them. Caper finally accepted her uniqueness and was embraced by others who celebrated diversity.
